The League of Women Voters of Greater Hartford (LWVGH)
is pleased to bring you our online Voters Guide for West Hartford
legislative races in the 5th Senatorial District and the 18th, 19th and
20th Assembly Districts. In this presidential election year, there are
many opportunities to learn about the candidates for federal office,
whereas, the races for State Senate and State Assembly Districts are
often less visible. This Voters Guide provides information on all of the
named races in one place as well as a sample ballot and list of polling
places. The League believes that by reading the candidates’ thoughtful
responses and viewing our candidate debates done in cooperation with WHC-TV,
Channel 5 Access, citizens can make their own informed decision on
election day, Tuesday, November 4.
We hope that you find this online version of the Guide
helpful as you prepare to vote. Printed copies of the Voters Guide can
be obtained at West Hartford public libraries, Town Hall, Elmwood
Community Center and Bishops Corner Senior Center. We also encourage you
to check out the schedule for the televised debates that will be aired
on WHC-TV (Channel 5) starting on October 13
